my Gorgon

Medusa is almost finished. Busy weekend so I didn't have much time to work on my props.
Gave her another coat of Monster Mud, and painted her with black spray paint for those hard to reach places, and two shades of gray latex. I want to do a coat of stone spray paint, for a bit more texture and seal her with something. More research to do, but thankfully there are such amazing haunters documenting their processes. I see so much rad stuff out there, and I want to make it all!

Looks awesome! There was a movie I used to watch as a kid that had something like this in it and it used to scare the crap out of me... I can't remember if they called it a Gorgon or not, but that sounds familiar. I also forgot the name of the movie, I'm going to have to Netflix that one if I ever remember it now.

It's one of those things where I can't remember the name because I am trying to think of it, and tonight at about three o'clock in the morning I'll remember it.

Clash of the Titans. I think that was what it was called. The post below this one helped me remember it.

Thanks Grim! Pretty inspiring to be complimented by the masters.
I was Medusa for Halloween when I was fifteen and have loved her ever since. very wicked, and she has quite a back story.
Now I am addicted to monster mud. It's gonna get messy around here.

I still have one monster mud prop to make before Halloween, I've had the frame built for a few months but have been putting off finishing it. Keep up the good work, it's looking great!
